I was fortunate to be with my youngest grandson this afternoon while he shot his first buck. It would have been a nice 8 point, but it appears that he had broken one side off a few months ago. I don't think he touched but a couple of rungs of the ladder stand on his way down. The rut is just starting, but the season goes out the 30th....
