I have killed a bunch with each. With that being said I hunt in WV also and parked the 270 to carry the 7-08. Is one better than the other? Thats splitting hairs and the piles of dead deer wouldnt know the difference.....but when it comes time to hit the WV hills in November I will be toting the 7-08...as are tons of other people these days. Its a new round comparatively speaking and has started catching like wildfire the last 6-8 years. I have made 300 yard ridge to rideg shots with both so you give up nothing with either except cheaper ammo with the 270...
