Both are good choices. If it were me I would go with the .270. Ammo is readly available anywhere and the do a good job taking deer. The 7mm-08 is a very capable caliber also I'm just not a fan of the 7mm's. Recoil should be close on these calibers. Go with your gut if you don't you will probally wish you did.
