Either one is an excellent choice for deer-sized game and even elk and black bear at moderate range with premium bullets. Balistics and recoil are similar. If you shoot factory ammo, I'd go .270. It can be found everywhere. If you handload, I'd go 7mm-08, more bullet selection.
