Leave the bore butter out of your rifle bore. Bore butter is for lubing conicals and some claim, for seasoning the older style rifles. Your Pro Hunter is modern steel. Why would it need seasoning, actually wax it? Clean the rifle real good according to the manual. Take a brass bore brush and be sure to solvent scrub the bore. T/C puts some good lube in there barrels to protect them while they are on store shelves. That solvent will take that all out. Then dry patch it clean. Then for storing, use a good quality GUN oil, like Rem Oil w/teflon, or my favorite.. Birchwood Casey Sheath a.k.a. Barricade. With a tight fitting patch swab the bore good spreading that oil deep into the rifling. Your rifle will be protected.

Before you shoot, take a patch and put some pure alcohol (isopropyl) or a combination of isopropyl alcohol and car windshield washer fluid, or even some Windex cleaner on a patch and then swab the barrel good. Then run a dry patch down the barrel to remove the cleaner. After that put another dry patch on the jag and push that to the bottom of the breech. Now pop a 209 primer through the breech plug. Pull the patch and check it for burn marks... If you have good burn, you're good to go.

Start with 100 grains of Pyrodex RS or Triple Se7en 2f and a 250 grain Shockwave. That should shoot well for you. Since you have a Pro Hunter, you could also try three pellets or 120 grains of loose powder with the same bullet and it should do very well.

Good luck with your rifle... The weather is a little ruff here today as well. It was -21ยบ this morning in Northern Wisconsin.
