Last 2 have had a very clear coating on the screws. It is possible that your gun didn't come from the factory without it. If the trigger has been set to a lower poundage and for whatever reason you send it back to the Remington Service Center in NY..they will take the trigger out and replace it with another heavier trigger and charge you accordingly. They will not void the warranty. If you send it to other service centers and as long as it is set to safe weights they will ignore it. That has been my experience. If it really bothers you call them on the 800 number and see what they have to say..they may tell you to send it in and fix it to CTA.
