I would also agree that criminals will always find a away to skirt the law. So allowing youth hunters more opportunities in the woods out weighs the cons in my eyes.
I like the two sub-AR tag idea, although I don't really have a problem with any kid shooting whatever size Buck he or she wants to!
well said,,i could'nt agree more!!! My last trip to Pa. hunting was dec. 2005,,only because i have made the personal decision to allow the deer herd to try to recover,,,that being said,,, the 1st and last deer we saw that 1st week of hunting season was a 12" spike buck,,my son had his jr. non-resident tag and was allowed to shoot,,we had plenty of time and i got him all set up and in the gun and told him when he's ready," dump em" when all of the sudden he came up out of the gun and said" Dad,,If it's ok i think i'll let him walk and try for a bigger one". I have never been so beside myself as i was at that moment,,,i knew then that he had the same love for our sport that i have and it would stay with him till he's dead. We came back home to va. that year and he shot a nice 8pt. He's 15 now,,and he just asked me the other day if we could hunt Pa. in the 08-09 season,,,he said he does'nt care if we see deer,,,he just loves the time spent with me and Grandpa at hunting camp! enough said,,,we will return this yr,,I commend Pa. for trying to get the youth out in the woods with their families.
