RE: Stevens 200 (Savage 110)
Savage/Stevens: I've owned Remington,Winchester and FN rifles over the years andthrough the past 5 yearsI've taken up long range500/600 meter tactical shooting using a variety of .30 calrifles including a Model 700 Remington LTR in 300 RSAUM topped with a Nikon 2.5 x 10 x 44 tactical scope and an FN .308 Win custom with a SS10 x 40 both rifles wear Badger picattiny bases and standard rings, both rifles are very accurate and will deliver sub .50 at 100metersif I do my part- then I bought a Savage FP10LEa2 (.308 win,26" bbl, accutrigger,Chaote stock) and topped it with a 4 x 16 x 50 Millet TR1 scope mounted on a Warne pic base and Burris tactical rings, right out of the box -- this stock green rifle shot consistant(3) 3shot groups out of (5).60" or better at 100meters and after a proper break in proceedure this cheap Savage blew the doors off my custom mega buck FN by managing to shoot better scores and hold better zero on target at 5 and 600 meters. The Stevens 200 is part interchangable with the Savage 110,and there are triggers and all goodies imaginable to make the Stevens a true winner in accuracy----- that fancy FN got the boost I just bought a Steven 200 last Thursday,I'm going to play with the thing and see what it takes to sharpen it up,won't take much I'm sure .Oh yah ----the Remington still rules the roost tho.
