I would say to talk to a local "expert" turkey hunter. You can try his calls, and see what you like. For mouth calls, they are cheap enough, you can buy a couple, and try for yourself. Good slate and box is hard to beat. I have a mouth call in my mouth at all times, just in case. No matter how much people think that they want to finish a bird with what you started him with, you can move inside 80 yards, in the woods.
