Default RE: 385 grain Great Plains Conicals

I have had great success with the Hornady Great Plains 385gr conical with a wide variety of ML's and loads. One of my favorite projectiles. Very effective.
More times than not, I have better success when using a wad even though these are not a flat base conical.

Regarding loads, don't push them too fast otherwise you will "strip" the rifling and thus lead the bore and loose accuracy.

Excellent price!

With the T/C New Englander & a 385gr GP, depends on powder. Here are a few:
Hodgdon 777 2FG = Start out around 70gr. (My petload is 90gr)
Black Mag'3 = Start out at 70gr (My pet load is 85gr)
Swiss 3FG = Start out at 60gr (My pet load is 70gr)
Swiss 2FG = Start out at 80gr (my pet load is 105gr)
Goex 2FG = Start at 75gr (my pet load is 90gr)
