Where I hunt in RI its usually run and gun, so shotgun is normally the order of the day. In CT, I have a fairly good chance of setting up and getting one in close to the blind with a bow, but it kills me to shell out the $100 for an archery permit that includes deer tags then get the turkey tags on top of that, PLUS the firearms permit if I decide to go that route or hunt in one of the spots I have in CT that is also usually a run and gun type of situation. Since I expect I'll probably shell out the $$ for the fall deer season anyway, if I should happen to find a spare C-Note hanging around I just might give it a shot
