Default RE: 54 cal sabots ?????

ORIGINAL: steviebiggun

Hello, I have a 54 cal great plains hunter rifle (1 in 32 twist). I have beenshootingREAL bullets., but now I want to try a 54 cal sabot. Problem here is that I cant find one that has the polymer tip.( I use that kind in my 50 cal knight and have great accuracy. ) so maybe if I purchase a box of 50 cal Hornady sst's and then purchase a different sabot that will work with the 54 cal lyman. Could I do that ??? If so what would I need from MMP. And I would like to use the 250 grain SST.
Thanks-a Bunch. Steve
Barnes makes the Expander MZ in a .54 cal here: http://www.barnesbullets.com/products/muzzleloader/expander-mz/

The 325g looks like what you want. Not a aerodynamic as the SST but certainly a thumper. Also BarnesXPB in .50 for Smith and Wesson will work in a .54 cal sabot:

And and TSX bullet .45/70 would work with the probper 54/45 Calsabot:
