steviebiggun,The purple sabot and the 50 Cal.300gr soft point or the Speer 300 or 325 GDHP give me excellant accuracy and are devistating on deer and boar. I use them with 140 gr RS in my System one 54 cal barrel, you can get 350gr, 400gr and 500gr. I have not use any of the heavy ones yet as I had such excellant results with the 300 gr. The 300gr soft point designed for the 50 cal Desert Eagle gives me very consistant minute of angle accuracy has a very high BC and while I have taken several deer and boar [including a big boar at a long angle] I have never recovered one as they all ways pass through leaving an exit hole about the size of a 50 cent piece.
Irregauardless of the popularity of the 50 cal I believe that using the bigger cal bullet gives more stomping power, which dont mean much with deer or boar but when it comes to bufflo moose big bear or elk I would us the 350 gr XTP or maybe even the 400gr but unless you are going to Africa the 500gr is a bit much.
