Well I never thoughtI would get so many answers. Thanks to everyone. I agree that shooting both would be the ideal solution, and checking whichbullets arealways in stock is a great idea.I am very comfortable shootingmy 30.06 and was just wanting to see if anyone was having problems or did not likeeither of them. All of my gunshave been passed down to me andI am looking at getting something of my own,lighter, andI do not want something that kicks so bad that I flinch. My big huntingtrips are forElk or Moose and most shots are less than 300 yards. I did not know if the ballistic charts were right on the hitting power of the 270 WSM. I do not want to watch a Big Bull walk away. Thanks again to everyone.
Either one would work with the proper bullet and shot placement. Like I said the 270wsm will have less recoil. The 300wsm will be able to shoot heavier bullets in weight. It is up to you which one.
