If you aren't into the homejobs these guys mentioned, for about $300 you can't beat the Moultrie I-40.

We used them last year with great results. It's got good picture quality, decent trigger, long battery life,
infared works well, apparently solved white-out problem (1 out of 150 pics or so), fairly easy to program/understand.
