Thanks for all your information. Maybe now I can do something with this rifle. I am a hunter from Washington state so no scopes allowed. I shoot with a peep site. In response to Cayugad, I had not thought to make sure I was shooting off the stock and not the barrel. I am shooting off the stock now that I think about it. Could be the problem, I'll check it out this week sometime and let you all know what happens.

I already have some of therounds suggested so I ought to have an interesting outing at the range. I'll have to print all these responses off just to keep the info together.
