Contact more than one outfitter once you decide on an area and then check references, check references, and check some more references
Call and check to see what other hunters have had to say about where you are going to go. Do your homework....and lots of it.

So many hunters have bad experiences with outfitters.... I have used them and some are waaay better than others.

I'm also an outfitter and totally agree as well.
