For me the greatest bow hunter is probably unknown to the world. He/She is the person that has a intimate knowledge and respect for the land and animals He/She pursues. Nothing and I mean nothing was ever handed to he or she. Choosing the easiest way out was not an option. All of his/her fruits come from plain old hard work, countless hours of scouting and practice and common sense. His/her skills and wood-wisdom evolved over many years of experience. Never afraid to fail and always pushing on. Record books and attention are not the motivation, instead a deeper personal reason for hunting encompasses their soul. I believe there are a few people out there that fit this mold. Maybe your reading this right now. I respect and would say you are what I would look for in the greatest bow hunter. I believe Fred Bear was this type of person, but there are others equally as talented and devoted to such a great way of life, just not recognized.
