Default RE: Stevens 200 (Savage 110)

I had a savage 110 years ago (mid 80's) and it was a great gun. I bought it new in the box for 150 bucks off from some guy that got it for a present and didn't want it. I put a cheap bushnell 3-9 scope on it and shot the crap out of it. I think I used winchester 150 grn silver tips and it shot great. I didn't really hunt with it but I did smack a few woodchucks and crows with it. Mostly informal target shooting. I got 1 inch groups or better out of it off from the bench.

Then more recently I have owned a .22 rimfire savage bolt action and a 17HMR heavy barrel savage and both were plenty accurate as well.

Now I have a .243 16F series but have not shot it yet. I am hoping it will be every bit as accurate as the other guns I have had.

I looked really hard at getting the stevens gun though, but I ended up doing a trade for this gun. I would have been perfectly happy with a stevens and then putting a different stock on it later though. I'm thinking about changing the stock on the 16 as well.
