22/250 is a mean machine out to 300 yds and it's usually hard to spot a coyote farther away than that anyway. Muzzle break on a .22/250 makes about as much sense as putting a high compression butt plate on it.

Like you say, the gun is loud enough as is and it doesn't kick. A break is just a chunk of scrap iron.
Forgive me, but I don't understand the fascination with fast twists. I know the current hip thing to do with .224 cal rifles is to see how heavy a projectile we can stuff down the bore but I'll go on record as thinking it's silliness. What's wrong with the normal twist? There's not a coyote alive that won't die a swift and terrible death from a decent hit with a 55 gr bullet.
Maybe I'm just a product of where I grew up on the plains and badlands of southern New Mexico where long shots were pretty common. I grew up thinking
Fast and Flatis the way to go and this was just what the .22/250 was designed to do. Anyone who wants a bigger bullet should just buy a .243...or did I miss something along the way?
