I am on out to 30 yards with mine. IMO, shooting at a deer 40-50 yards out with a bow adds alot of factors into the equation that could result in a missed/wounded deer. Jumping the string and missed limbs that deflect your shot are a couple. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on those that shoot out to 50, just not what I myself would be comfortable doing. Good Luck!
