Or, you can convert your 10/22 into a 17hm2. You would need a barrel, a weighted cocking handle and or heavier bolt return spring. The 17 hm2 is a little slower than the HMR but worlds above a 22lr and ammo for the hm2 is a couple bucks a box less then the HMR ammo. Green Mountain has barrels made for the Ruger 96/22 that are a direct fit on a 10/22 for $65 andPower Custom bolt handle $55 add a box of shells for $5-$6 and your ready to shoot.
