If your land holds does then the bucks will show up sooner or later..........why guys want to eliminate so many does is questionable logic to me at best.
No argument, Atlas....just a question. Given MY situation....do you think I'm doing the right thing.....eliminating "so many" does? I can see both sides.....but I feel like I'm doing the right thing.
Interested in your thoughts.
not Atlas but yes you are doing the right thing.
1. You are improving the buck to doe ratio by shooting more does.
2. By thinning the doe population you are thinning your future deer population but making conditions better...
A. More food is available for the remaining deerby havingless deer. meaning healthy deer with less stress.
B. Bucks will compete more with less does. That is always a good thing. The toughest and most agressivebucks should do more breeding in this senerio. Those genes will be passed on making a better quality deer population in future years.
There are many more but don't have the time to list them all.
