RE: All this location talk got me thinking
If there is a deer management program in an area, say 1/2 to 2/3 of a square (640 acres) and all the land is pretty much the same, the people not actively participating in the the deer management program will reap the benefits provided by the neighbors that are....
Deer are not yours, they are free to roam where they may, and a mature buck will range a loooong ways.
We have neighbors that refuse to believe that QDM works even though every year they shoot at least a couple 2 1/2 year olds, 10-15 years ago when there was not a deer management program in place, if you didn't have your buck down by noon (gun hunting) odds are you would have to wait till the next season to get another shot (this did not apply to bow season, then you got to see bucks 'natural')
meh, you pay your property taxes, or lease the land, hunt as you wish......
