I have answered your question Jeff, the HUNT isn't harder one way or another, ML or Bow, the shot however is, I've said that with the "traditional"...the hunt is no harder or easier, the yardage is the same it's the shooting that is harder. I don't get that you don't get it.
No, no, no....I'm asking you to go a little deeper than that statement.

WHY do you seemingly (and I say that because I have no idea of what you're really trying to say) want to NOT admit that bowhunting with traditional gear is harder than bowhunting with compound gear? My range is shorter with the trad bow.....so I have to be in the tree lower. My level of proficiency takes MUCH longer to obtain. If you're basing your assertion on 10 yds is 10 yds......well.....then I'd ask you.....why do you bowhunt vs. gun hunt? I hope that's fair. I admit....I do it for the challenge. I'm no compound OR trad elitist. Just staing why "I" like each (hell you know me). Anything I've ever had to work hard at .....I've garnered a lot of satisfaction when I became proficient at it. That's all I'm saying. So the 10 yd trad shot woud give me a LOT more stisfaction....knowing I'd worked hard to master it.

I don't know......just seems like you don't want to say what most see is obvious. No big deal...and I could be all wrong.
I know shooting or become proficient with a traditional bow takes more practice. No one debates that.

Okay, you take your new recurve out and because of proficiency limitations your maximum range is 10 yards, you succeed at taking your doe at 10 yards, to you, perhaps that might mean more than taking one with a compound. Kudos.

Same scenerio, a new compound purchaser practices the exact same amount of time you do with your recurve, he's not so good so he too limits himself to only taking his deer at a maximum 10 yards and does so successfully.

Whose hunt was harder?
