Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot anybody on here can do. Gather your data and build a strong case and present it at some public meetings. I'm not saying you're wrong, i can't really argue the numbers without doing some research of my own. So I did.
“The Swedish moose is a close relative to the North American, but usually does not reach quite the same size. But Sweden has a very large population with about 100,000 moose shot during hunting every year. The total population is around 250,000 which makes Sweden the country with the highest density in the world.” http://www.sverigeturism.se/smorgasb.../wildlife.html
Across the globe there are estimated to be over 2 million moose with the highest numbers in Canada, Russia, United States and Sweden. Population estimates carried out in the late 1990s include :-
830,000 Canadian moose !!!
435,000 Russian moose !!!
255,000 American moose !!
200,000 Swedish moose !!
125,000 Norwegian moose !
90,000 Finnish moose ! http://www.smouse.force9.co.uk/facts3.htm
The moose population culminated in 1982 at about 400,000 and almost 175 000 animals were shot that year.

Your numbers versus my numbers, there seems to be some discrepancy, so basically what I’m trying to say is don’t be so quick to jump on some numbers and blame the game departments. Do they have some problems? Yes, I’d say most people on here would like to see things changed. But I think if the game departments could get more revenue from licenses by increasing the input into the general fund, if that’s in fact where it all goes, they would. Something else has to be going on here.
