Boy was it ever! I saw less caribou in 2007 than in one day in 2005. Seriously. I would recommend going a bit later in the season. I have been with Norpaq Adventures both time. Obviously I was happy with their service since I returned. They tried their hardest for us moving us throughout the week to try to give us the best chances. The caribou just hadn't migrated yet. Not their fault just bad luck. Next time I will be going in early-mid September instead of in August. Caribou hunting is a blast. They are much neater animals than they appear to be on TV. Just an amazing animal really. I had more fun than I thought I would.
