RE: Winchest 9417 Lever Action - HELP!
Wow! These comments all over the board. I might as well voice some of my opinions, right wrong or indifferent?
If you like Winchesters and the 17HMR cartridge, go for it. I wouldn't pay that much for one but. I'm not a fan of either or. Henry does make a lever in the 17HMR as well, about 1/2 the cost. I will be very surprised and amazed if any of these newer Winchester become any kind of collectors. They just don't have the quality build into them of the older ones and it looks as if the is a finance company buyer is looking to buy all the Winchester patterns and start another 3rd world country gun manufacturing facility? NOW, That won't surprise me at all.
As far as firearms being a bad, investment? This couldn't be further from the truth. However, you need to pick and choose your investments just like trading stock. It's all in the market, rarity, demand, and even area you may live in?
