I justgot back from my range; I was shooting a couple of my 1/66 TC flinters. One barrel is 21" long; the other is 31". They are PA Hunters with the QLA barrel.

I had some Goex 3f and Swiss 2f (#3); I didn't have any 3f (#2). I started out shooting some Goex and the carbine barreled gun at 50 yards using .429 200 grain xtp's. I worked up thru 50-80 grains but the barrel would burn no more than 70 grains; accuracy was under 2" at 50 yards. Then I used 70 grains of Swiss 2f; great accuracy and a bit more thump/speed for sure; but again it would not burn more than 70 grains and would print just a bit lower when I tested at 80 yards with 70 and 80 grains. My calipers read it at .605 bullet length and Hornady rates it for a 750-1700 velocity window; I doubt I can get it going more than 1500 with 70 grains of Swiss in the 21" barrel. Bullet prints were clean and no signs of tip/yaw or tumble.

Next; I broke out the longer barrel and started with 90 grains of Swiss 2f; 3 shots at 115 yards grouped 3 1/2"; not great but not bad either for open sights. I was suprised they would stabilize but they showed no signs of it on paper. I don't know how they would track through deer but they do have more energy than a roundball.
