RE: string seperation
selway, some cams are more prone to do this than others.
I have been spinning my own strings for probably 15 years now, and have had this problem a few times.
Some cams have very shallow and narrow string channels. When you combine that with a radical angle on the cam, it does give you problems.
I serve my strings VERY tight, and only use as mant strands on the strings as I absolutely have to.
Even at that, I have had a few bows that still would seperate the serving after a couple thousand shots.
In those cases, I would just pop the string off, put it back on the jig, and reserve it.
