On the opinion page of Sat. State Journal a writer suggests, why not raise the bounty up from $9.00 per deer?

A friend of mine has told me, he' s seen checks from the WDNR paid to an inlaw. Same inlaw stated he had to attend a class sponsered by the WDNR. Same person had killed over 70 deer at the time. His son had taken over 35.

What would be the motivation for your typical sportsman to invest that much time and money into throwing deer in a dumpster? You cannot tell me a person would do all that just because the dnr says it needs to be done.

Did I miss something? Are there landowners getting compensated?
