Default RE: Running Dogs In VA

Maybe, had you been a little more diplomatic about your release the hounds statement. If it had not been for that I might not have even joined this thread. I don’t know what the answer is but you can’t began to comprehend how aggrieving it is to plan a day’s hunt on a stand that you have been watching a nice buck only to have it ruined by someones dog hunting. For instances I’ve been sitting on my stand on private property since 5 am does bedded all around me right in the middle of the rut 8 am somebody two farms over turns there dogs lose 8:15 am 7 deer go blasting by me with 5 dogs behind them. So then the only thing for me to do is go home. Now my question to you D head is first I’m sure your much better fisherman then I, and when your hunt with your dogs do they ever cross on to posted property? If they do and I’m sure they do since they can’t read then how is that being respectful of others myson may have been sitting there waiting for that little buck before your dogs chased him away.

I don’t care how or what other people shoot or hunt with as long they stay on their property. Shoot all the deer you want on your land but don’t come and chase them off my land. That’s pisses me off is not hunting it happens every weekend on one of the farms we hunt once rifle season starts. I’m not joining the pita guys here but you know the state should do something my hunting time is just as important to me as yours is to you. I shouldn’t have my ruined so you can enjoy yours. Maybe the month of January should be dog hunting month. It wouldn’t matter here they use them illegal anyway as dog are not allowed in our county.

I’ve never entered a deer in a contest you think I should? I alsodon't bait deerand your right I’m not a member of the if its brown it’s down club I like to practice a littlequality deer management but not so some idiot can run his dogs through my land and kill them with buckshot from his truck window.

The guy shooting at us last year is no joke and I don't think it's funny not even a little. If he had not been dog hunting that would not have happen. He stopped his truck looking at the deer coming to cross the road they jumped in the woods behind me I turned to see what all the noise was only to hear the shot and see the deer fall he shot standing next to his door the deer hit the ground no farther fifteen feet from me he never seen me or my 4 wheeler parked on the side of the road thank god my son had already walk down the hill some or he would have been right behind the deer.
