I also agree with Rob,I was just trying to state the past experience that I saw with Don Higgins in the most polite way I could.
There is arrogance in all walks of life.We could learn a lot from these folks if we would listen and not try to jump on every thing we didn't agree with right away.
Most of us can tell immediately if someone is the real deal or not.I believe for the most part the "Pro's" are the same as you and I in that they are passionate about hunting and they have found a way to make their living at it.Given my nature I appreciate the understated folks more.I have met a number of professionals at sportsmans shows and seminars and almost all of them are down to earth regular folks with no pretense.
I think a lot of hunters look at these folks with a very critical eye because if in their own mind they can see flaws they believe it elevates themselves.
Don is a great guy, I email him a few times with questions. He always answered them back. I would no put Don with the group as a pro. Don is like John Eberhart orJoe Brooks, they find there own land to hunt. It's way differnet than what I think the poster is talking about.
There is a huge difference from what Don Higgons does and Mikel Waddel does. Would I classfy them both as "Pros" no I would not.
