I my self would not shoot a Turkey off the roost! It would be know fun, I have fun trying to call a turkey into gun range. I spent last spring season talking to one Tom all season a Big Tom at lease an 11" beard that I could see with my binocular' s at around 60 yards. Never did get that bird last year, but had a blast trying and he was still there the last day of spring season last year. Hope he made it though Fall season and the winter! Had a Great season Cause of that Tom! It would be like scoreing a touch down with no one else on the field to stop you.
