Finally got off my butt and got the pics developed.
14 points, 172 1/8 B&C gross, 149 net. Killed him in Wisconsin in the early part of bow season. Not much story to tell...my guide put me in a stand on the first day of the hunt. I sat there for maybe 45 minutes before this guy and 2 other 8 points came walking by. Shot him at 12 steps in the neck (it was the only shot I had, but I was confident I could make it), and he ran about 35 yards. I called my guide on the 2-way radio and he couldn't believe that I'd killed one that quick. I couldn't climb down out of the tree until he got there because I was shaking so bad. Funny thing is, I didn't get nervous until AFTER I had shot him, then I couldn't quit shaking. The buck weighed 195 field dressed.
