I forgot to add-My doberman and griffonlet me know well in advance of anyone getting close to my house.
I'd still use a shotgun to make up for anyaiming issues(scared****less, adrenalin,too dark to see or aim well)I might have in a home defense situation.
I can aim it well enough from the hip to hit somebody in the dark.
I would guess up to 40 yds. with my skeet barrel and 00 buckshot ifit was shouldered.
If there were no rules or limitations, an M-16 on full auto would be a great choice, with plenty of ammo.
