I was reading in another post where you were talking about a Trijicon Accupoint is this the one with the like german post with afiber optic triangle on top of it? How do you like these? The guy at my gun shop has one on the shelf that has been there for quite a while I think it is a 3x9x40.Got a $499.00 price on it ,But his son-in-law who works for him said I can probally get for $350.00 hopefully $300.00 How do you think that set up would work on that 30-06 BAR I just got.The price is in the ball park with You guy's other suggestions.I checked it out just now and it looks like it would do well in early light and evening. BTW dated the rifle born in 1970
For that price I wouldn't think twice . Yep you have an olden BAR the kind I used to drool at when I was in high school and they sold for the ungodly amount of 200.00 dollars . It has no drift pins for the trigger group correct? Entirely made in Belgium.
One of the benefits of these scopes is you can have both eyes open viewing thru it and your eyes will actually adjust for that, can only be good for running shots. They have very good glass in them ...there is a lamp that illuminates the reticle and I believe it lasts for 14 years(radium) to replace the last price I got was 40 dollars might be higher then that now. Plus they pull in external light thru that cover on the ocular. I looked at one in a completely dark room and couldn't believe how bright the reticle was. Amber or Red triangle doesn't matter. Red may show up a little better on deer hide but wouldn't hold me back not for that money
