This is only my second year to hunt waterfowl. A friend took me last year and we both shot a limit of ducks the first day. I was hooked from them on. I've only killed about 85 ducks and about 15 geese to date so I'm probably ahead of the game as far as bands go. I know alot of guys who hunt a long time before they ever get one. I'm just lucky I guess.
It's kinda neat to see this come full circle. Several years ago I helped band geese with the wildlife department during the summer. At that time I had never been waterfowl hunting so it wasn't really that big of a deal tome. Now that I'm addicted it is pretty neat to have both banded and recovered a band.
thats good man, hopefully you get many more to come. Same story pretty much for me, i helped band at jack miners about 4 times this year and two of the bands i got were the 07's bands. Kind of cool to get a band you helped put on.
