If the .410 were legal here in NJ, I'd have tried it a long time ago! I feel that the .41 caliber slug is more than adequate to kill a deer inside of 75yds. Although they're smaller, its murder on Coyotes!!! Should be a done deal on a doe or smaller!( I'd hesitate on large bucks unless I had a true broadside rib shot).I'd just make sure that the sights were rifled or scoped. Some shotgunners I've seen think the bead on a .410 smoothboreis OK to aim with a slug- not so! Reliable accuracy comes from the appropriate sights IMHO along with the shooter's skill(practice !!!)
