Depends on your size. The shorter barrel probably will not make a difference. Being it is an open sight gun you may lose an inch of sight radius, probably not a big difference considering the over length though.

What will effect accuracy is how the gun fits you. If it is for a small person and the gun is too big it will be hard to shoot. There is no doubt in my mind they will be more accurate with a gun that fits them well and balances better. And it really isn't that difficult for a larger person to shoot a smaller gun, as long as it isn't too small.

Mechanically it will make no difference in the potential accuracy of the weapon. Especially when you are talking about the price point of the Rossi guns. Barrel length does not effect accuracy, as a matter of fact a shorter barrel will be slightly stiffer and may make it more forgiving of different ammo and loads. Many bench rest shooters use short heavy barrels on their custom guns. The only thing a shorter barrel will effect is velocity to a certain degree and the level of noise. Short barrels tend to be a bit louder. Not sure if they are actually louder, or just perceived as louder to the shooter though.

I'm not a huge fan of Rossi guns, but I have heard of plenty of people getting these guns and being perfectly happy with them. I honestly can't say I remember anyone saying anything bad about them other than fit and finish. Function wise I can't recall anyone dissing them.
