Default RE: My feet freeze

I'm no expert here, but I have always done well with my uninsulated boots by:
1. Using liner socks. The thin liner socks made for hikers. These really keep your feet dry.
2. Using no cotton in any layer.
3. Use gore tex or similar type boots.
4. Jamming a small hand warmer in the toe and loosening the laces while in the stand.

This has worked well in the stand down to about 25 deg. and walking down to 0 deg.

I think I will try the electric socks instead of hand warmers in the future.

i have yet to find elecric socks that worked,if someone finds pair that does, let us know..also socks are usually not long enough,so batterys sit down in your boots UNCOMFORTABLE.
as far as me, the foot warmer packs you buy for 6 hrs,is way to go.
some use the handwarmer size that goes for 10 hrs.

wal-mart has the footwarmers on sale..

6 pack is 1.97 right now.

i bought 3 packs.

also they have some that go 18 hrs,not for feet but i bet you could make them fit in your boot if all you are doing is sitting all day and not walking a lot.
