Default RE: "Clarifier" peep?

It could be both the pins getting too much light and fuzzing up (likely if you have extended fiber), or it could be your eyes.

The eyes thing can be remedied using a verifier. Keep in mind, there is a difference between a "Verifier" and a "Clarifier". Clarifiers are used by target shooters with scope setups, to help offset magnification to a perfect level so that your target is crystal clear, as well as the pin/dot/ring in the scope is clear as well. AVerifier is for guys whos eyes aren't as good as they used to be, and are intended to help clear up the pins on a huntingtype or HC 3Dsetup as you described.

You need a specific peep sight to installa clarifier or verifier lens, the G5 would have to come off. Specialty Archery is the manufacturer is the "Super Peep", and they are also the manufacturer of the verifier and clarifier. This "Super Peep" isthe peep you need to screw in any of these types of lenses. They also have regular apertures as well with no lens, so overall it's a great peep to have on a target type bow because you can use it for anything.

You can read about all of this on www.specialtyarch.com.

I'm using a hooded super peep on all my target oriented bows, and use a #1 (yellow) - 1/32" clarifier on my indoor/field/fita bow that is setup for open class with a lens and scope.

Also back to the extended fibers thing..........I really prefer VERY short fibers on a 3D sight, and then a good quality aftermarket sight light like the LP Archery Pro Light DX setup that allows me to add the specific amount of light to the fiber to get the contrast I want for each individual target. You can add this to any sight setup that takes a standard thread sight light, and it's what the big boys are using in the Pro class for 3D.
