esmith3102 I have fletched them like Madjac20 has and heard the same thing as closer the better to the end of the shaft. I have also tried moving them about 2 to 2.5" away and I find steering is the same with my blazers. I am not really sure what to recommend as a perfect distance but one inch sounds fine if it's working for you then leave there.
