RE: Looking at .22 pistols - Ruger Single Six or Cheap Semi-Auto?
I have 4 of the Ruger Mark II's and 45/22's. You will really be pleased with either of those models. Though they are more expensive than the one you are looking at you can find them used for $200 sometimes. If you get a 45/22 when you load the clip take the top bullet and slightly push the tip up otherwise it will hang. It seems to be a design flaw but if you do that it feeds perfectly. I've bought a couple that were only fired a couple times because of that and if you know how to do it it is no problem at all. I've ran well over 20,000 rounds through my Mark II's and probably around 5,000 through the 45/22's without any other problems at all. I used to shoot them when we were at the pond shooting turtles and I could hold my own with my buddies shooting scoped 10/22's.
