I've decided that crossbows should be allowed in deer hunting season, but with their own season.
Cougar Mag...

Why should cross bows have their own season? Would you be ok with Illinois cutting short the bow season to allow cross bows only? What's wrong with allowing them in the archery season?.....Afterall they are "archery tackle".

I'm not picking on archery either, I have the same questions about muzzle loaders. Here in Illinois you can use a muzzle loader during the regular firearm seasons as well ascertain pistols and of course a slug gun.

Cool, it's gun season and you have a choice of different firearms to hunt with. But then there is a muzzle loader only season, Why?.....makes no sense to me at all. To me...it's a firearm so it should be included in the firearm season. Giving muzzle loaders or cross bows their own seasons makes no sense at all.

A crossbow is fairly close to the capabilities of a compound/trad bow as are muzzle loaders close in comparison to slug guns and pistols.

If it were up to me there would be a firearm season and an archery season and hunters would be free to choose what form of firearm or archery tackle they please. (within state regulations) Then everyonewould behappy............Yeah right.
