Has anyone noticed how it has seemingly came from obscurity to being chambered in nearly everything in the last 5 years? How many other catridges languished as long as this one did before taking off? I never seen one in the woods until 2004 now I see quite a few of them. Ths is obviously a fine cartridge but it sure did take its time taking off. Was this another case of Remington giving up on its ideas nearly immadiately or what? Glad it has taken off as it is one fine ride...
Remington typical marketing FUBAR slowed down the sales on this cartidge and the fact that the 7x57 is the same thing in a different package. No need to have a 280 if you own either of the 2.I still prefer the 7 mags for the new enhanced bullet resistant Whitetail running around out there.
