Question about Mech. Bow Poundage, Arrows
Hey guys Im new to the forum pretty cool. I have a question for some of you mech and fixed broadhead shooters. Ihave a new bow and have always shot around 65 pounds, however got a new setup and now shoot less weight. I shoot a BearInstinctset at 54 lbs. 28 in xx75 2117 arrows and 100 grain heads (my finished weight is around 550). I am wanting to go to Mech heads for the accuracy factor. I Have shot both fixed and mechanicals. And although I have had good success with fixed heads to me there is nothing that flies better than mech. The wind planning factor, and the precision tuning that is needed I wonder some times. I have always shot aluminum because I Have always went with the theory why hit them with a toothpick when you can hit em with a log. My question is am I shooting enough poundage and the heavy arrow factorto shoot a conservative mech, like a shockwave or steelhead. I no shotplacement is a huge factor that plays into this but I only hunt whitetails. THanks for any opionions. Great forum
