Went out this morning with my two dogs for some wild pheasant/ quail hunting here in Illinois. Jumped about 20 pheasants in all, only three roosters, one of which should have been downed. The other two were pretty wary and jumped up a good 30 yards in front of me. With all the snow we got here, all the birds held real tight and had to literally be stepped on before they would take off. I had one hen take off between my two legs and almost knock me in the jewels before it took off down field.

Even though I didn't get anything for dinner, it was still an awesome way to start out my winter break...
