300ultramagshooter; Do you know how many pounds of pull your trigger is set at now? I purchased a Remington 700XCR in .30-06 one year before the X-Mark trigger came out, just like you did. I was concerned about like yourself and ended up taking it to a local gunsmith. He checked it and measured it at 4 pounds and he told me that it broke nice and crisp and that I should try it out at the range before I did anything. He also mentioned that this trigger was his personal favorite. I took his advise and after shooting 1/2" groups @ 100 yards with off-the-shelf ammo, I decided there was no need to have it adjusted. I also hunt with gloves on (Northern Minnesota), and 4 pounds seems to work out nice.
