I don' t think old wives had anything to do with telling this tale, there were plenty of bowhunters spreading this around for years. Just part of the fun to separate fact from fiction.

Right hand fletching will work fine. As already stated, make certain you buy right-wing feathers to fletch your arrows.

As a right-hand shooter myself, I have found that RW fletch tends to wear the fletch a little faster, but that is MY experience, not a general rule as far as I know.
